Football Club is Rwanda’s leading football club, having
won more laurels than all others put together.

Club History is not far from today, the club started as Army
(Front Patriotique Rwandais ) football club at Murindi Byumba
province which was a head quarter of RPF Inkotanyi in June
1993, it was during (cease fire) peace talks in Arusha / Tanzania.
After two (2) months in existence in August 1993, APR FC was
visited by different clubs from different Countries playing
friendly matches.

APR FC Vs INKATA FC (Kenya) (2 - 1)
Towards end of year 1994, that is when FPR Inkotanyi librated
Rwanda and stopped Genocide, APR FC continued to play friendly
matches with both Rwandan clubs and foreign clubs:
APR FC Vs KIYOVU SPORTS (1-1)
APR FC Vs MUKURA VS (1-1)
APR FC Vs VITALO FC (BURUNDI) (1-2)
APR FC Vs EXPRESS FC(UGANDA) (1-2)
APR FC won first Amahoro cup (Peace cup) in 1995. APR FC was
registered in first division by FERWAFA.
Today there is no single local or regional trophy on which
APR FC’s name is not inscribed.
The club is the most consistent on the continent, featuring
in the Africa Club Championships ( CAF) Cup.
